About Orchard Supply Hardware

Orchard Supply Hardware or OSH is an American retailer of home improvement and gardening products. Their headquarter is located in San Jose, California. The retail store started its operation in 1931 as a non-profit cooperative under the name Orchard Supply Farmer's Cooperative. The cooperative was composed of 30 orchard farmers. OSH converted later on into a for-profit company.

In 1996, Sears acquired the Orchard Supply Hardware but prior to the acquisition, different corporations have already bought OSH in the 1980's. The Orchard Supply Hardware briefly went public from 2012-2013. On June 2013, Lowe's bought the bulk of OSH assets and locations and added Orchard Supply Hardware to their chains of home improvement stores. From that time on, OSH operated as a subsidiary of Lowe's. In August 2018, Lowe's announced that it will be closing all its stores by February 2019.

Orchard Supply Hardware is currently offering discounts in all the chain stores guaranteeing big savings. The closing Sale begins on August 23 and will run for about 10 weeks. OSH is encouraging the public to take advantage of the deep discounts and sales offered.

Orchard Supply Hardware Free Shipping Policy

1. Orders are shipped to customers one to two business days upon placing of order. 2. Orders placed on the weekend will be processed the next business day. 3. Standard and expedited deliveries via UPS are offered on all orders. 1) Standard - standard shipping method is ground delivery via UPS. Orders should be received within two to seven business days from the day the order is shipped. 2) Expedited - there are two expedited deliveries, NEXT DAY and 2ND DAY Air services by UPS. NEXT DAY Air - order is delivered next business day after processing 2nd DAY Air - order is delivered two business days after processing 3) Orders that were received by 10am PST (1pm EST) will be shipped the next business day. 4. Oversize items will be delivered via home delivery service. 5. Online orders can be shipped only within the 48 contiguous states. 6. The Orchard Supply Hardware do not ship to P.O. Boxes, APO/FPO, Alaska, Hawaiian and foreign addresses. 7. If the customer ordered more than one item the shipment may be fulfilled from multiple locations resulting to multiple packages but no additional or will be charged to the customer. 8. FREE Shipping - occasional FREE shipping is offered by the Orchard Supply Hardware website on a limited time offer and is subject to change without prior notice. To avail of free shipping, the following criteria applies: 1) If availing via a promotional amount: Your total order or purchase must already be equal to or more than the stated promo amount before the tax and shipping cost are included. 2) FREE shipping applies to ground shipping via UPS and only applies to the 48 adjoining states 3) It is not valid on expedited shipping. 4) Offer is not valid for any shipment requiring home delivery or third party service unless stated in the promo 5) Free shipping does not apply to items or orders that were cancelled. Cancelling orders results to purchase/order that has a lower value than the stated promotional amount.

Orchard Supply Hardware Return Policy

In relation to the ongoing closing sale of the Orchard Supply Hardware, purchases made prior to August 23, 2018 may be returned until September 5, 2018 subject to the OSH return policy. However purchases made during the closing sale is deemed FINAL and will be marked as in the receipt. Merchandise decided by customers for return is accepted by the Orchard Supply Hardware store and must be made within 90 days from date of purchase, in good brand new condition and with original receipt. 1. In-Store Returns and Exchange Policy 1) When returning items with receipt and returned within 90 days from date of purchase: a) Customer is refunded with cash if the purchase was made with cash or debit card. Merchandise paid for by check may be returned for cash after 10 days from the date of purchase. b) Customer is refunded with a credit to the original card used if the purchase was made with a credit card. c) Customer is refunded with store credit if the purchase was made with a gift card or store credit. 2) When returning items with receipt but after 90 days from date of purchase - OSH will Issue store credit to the customer for the original purchase amount 3) When returning items without receipt, within 90 days and with a valid Orchard card membership account - a system lookup for the transaction will be made a) IF system lookup is successful - OSH will refund the purchase amount to the customer based on the policies stated b) IF system lookup is NOT successful - OSH will issue store credit for the lowest selling price of the item when a valid form of ID is presented 4) When returning Gasoline powered items - make sure that the item has not been filled with gasoline and is being returned together with the valid sales receipts else refund eligibility is voided. Used gasoline powered equipment may be sent for repair through the Orchard Supply Hardware Engine shop at customer's expense when the manufacturer's warranty has expired. Equipment falling under this category is mowers, leaf blowers, chain saws, trimmers, pressure washers and generators. 2. Online Returns and exchange Policy - for items purchased online, they are eligible for return or exchange as long as the items are unused, in its original package and is being returned within 90 days of purchase for a full refund or exchange. 1) When returning merchandise with a receipt and within the 90 days grace period - refund is issued based on the original payment method. Ship the return item using UPS services or an insured parcel post to have proof of mailing/delivery.
